The Roman Catholic Church in Balatonboglár was built after the plans of István Kotsists in 1932. The protected building is simple from the outside, inside its monumentality captures the visitor. The church was consecrated to commemorate the glorification of the Holy Cross. A wooden statue of Saint Stephen stands in front of the building, and in the park next to church Tibor Rieger’s statue of Pál Teleki can be seen.

About the organ

The organ of the Roman Catholic Church in Balatonboglár was constructed by the Dunakeszi-based organ building firm, BKM, in 2009. It is a mechanical-tracker instrument with a slide chest and an electric stop system. It is one of the best concert organs in the southern Lake Balaton region.
